The Lutheran Church A. C. in Bistriţa is one of those privileged religious buildings, which have retained most of their furnishing intact up to the present; thus, starting from the 15th, every century has left its mark on it. Due to its complexity, the ensemble may not be presented entirely in the present article; this is why the authors focused on merely sketching general characteristics and presenting in detail the significant pieces. Based on the research, the image of a 16th century autonomous local workshop emerges, which created high quality works that deserve an increased attention and thorough research.
