In Cluj-Napoca, at the turn of the millennia, several postgraduate courses are available on built heritage conservation: specialised universities, respectively NGO’s compete in ensuring specialisation opportunities for graduates. Chronologically: as of 1998 the Transylvanian Historic Building Conservationists Society (THBCS) and the Transylvania Trust Foundation (TTF), in collaboration with and within the framework of the Babes-Bolyai University (BBU), Faculty of History and Philosophy, have been organizing a postgraduate programme for graduate students, and in 2001 The Technical University Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning launched a postgraduate programme for architects and art historians. In the following, we shall present the postgraduate programme organised at the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca.
