Standing on Bistriţa’s main square, the Lutheran Church of Augustan Confession (A.C.) was subjected to several transformations throughout its existence. The most important of these were the interventions implemented between 1560 and 1563, respectively in 1926, during which the church gained its present dimensions, shape, and artistic components. The conservation works of the last 22 years have been concerned with the research, preservation and conservation, restoration of its accumulated values. The paper presents the thus far accomplished works of the comprehensive conservation concept developed in 2009, and elaborates in more detail on the conservation of the vaulted slab, completed in 2013.
