One of the basic principles stressed by MÖLLER was that of preserving the works of art, different in style, of all historic periods. There are many tangible traces of his endeavour in trying to find a place for all the pieces of different ages and styles that were moved due the interventions. Still, for valid reasons, the principle could not completely prevail, since certain completions go hand in hand with the destruction of earlier vestiges.
