The “historic building” concept goes beyond the architectural object as such, as it also includes the urban or rural area in which it is placed, attesting the existence of a certain civilization, as evidence of a remarkable historic event or of consequential developments that occurred at a certain point. In connection with the conservation of the Casino building (the Kiosk) in the “Simion Bãrnuþiu” Park, one can assert that the historic building is not integrated in the life of the community. However, the ensemble the building is a part of (namely the “Simion Bãrnuþiu” Park), although deteriorated in its
turn, is an important centre of attraction in the city of Cluj.
