The interventions that the Roman Catholic Church from Floresti Commune, Cluj County (Romania) went through in the 1960s, and the methods used there, summarize the specificity of the phenomenon observed in the practice of Transylvanian built heritage conservation during the communist regime: the outset of archaeological and of art history research, the presence of the contractors’ restoration diaries, but also the difficulty of registering some of the buildings on the list of protected heritage.
