Rezümé:
Within the “Project for Reinforcement and Conservation of the Matthias I Sculptural Group in Cluj-Napoca”, the author was requested to carry out of the biological research of the stone elements. For this purpose samples were taken, and after their analysis in the laboratory, the main biodegradation agents were identified. The article presents the pedestal's degradations, as well as the recommendations with the purpose of restoring the degraded elements.
