Rezumat:
The article presents the historic buildings hosting the János Zsigmond High School and the headquarters of the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, and the recent interventions on them. Following a brief history and description of the buildings, the general circumstances of the design and implementation will be presented. Both buildings host educational institutions, and in both cases, besides general conservation, extensions needed to be carried out to obtain as much useful space as much the respective building permitted. These challenges were met by head of design and architect Éva EKE, who participated in the elaboration of the conception, and also coordinated the design process and monitored the construction work.
